Branded Biophilia - Bringing Living, Breathing Beauty to Events

We caught up with Beccy from Branded Biophilia, who is changing the way we do events in the UK. Read on to find out more about the business and what inspired its founders to pave the way for change in the events industry.

Tell us a bit about your business and how it started

Branded Bio (Branded Biophilia) was born out of a love for nature and a frustration with the waste often seen in events and branding. My business partner Macey and I started the business in 2021, after years working in events, marketing and PR, determined to prove you can create showstopping spaces without harming the planet. Our mission is simple: to bring living, breathing beauty to events, exhibitions and weddings – with sustainability at the heart of every decision. We’re a small, passionate team based in Kent and we specialise in living walls, lush botanical installations and sustainable event decor, all designed to be reused, upcycled, and leave no trace.

What makes your work eco friendly or sustainable?

Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword for us – it’s our whole approach. We only use real plants (never artificial, unless absolutely necessary ie seasonal and then only the best and most sustainable), and we reuse every plant and upcycle as many materials as possible. Our installations are designed to be taken down and rehomed or repurposed, so nothing goes to waste. We work with local suppliers, avoid single-use plastics and even our signage uses eco-friendly materials. We’re also ORB certified for sustainability and always looking for new ways to lower our footprint.

What can couples expect to see from you at the Eco Wedding Festival?

You’ll find us bringing a slice of the outdoors in – think lush living walls, botanical backdrops and unique green decor that can be tailored to your day. Whether you’re after a statement ceremony backdrop, living photo booth or a subtle touch of greenery, we’ll show you how to make your wedding feel vibrant, fresh and truly memorable – all while keeping it planet-friendly. Plus, we’ll be there to chat through ideas and answer any questions about sustainable styling!

What’s your top tip for planning a sustainable wedding?
Start with what matters most to you and build from there – you don’t have to do everything perfectly! Focus on a few key areas (like decor, catering or travel) and choose suppliers who genuinely care about sustainability - your supply chain is key. And always ask where things are sourced and what happens after the event – the best suppliers will have a plan for reusing or recycling, not just binning it all.

Meet Branded Biophilia at the Eco Wedding Festival on Sunday 5th October. They can’t wait to chat about how to make our wedding greener, more beautiful and totally unique!
