Compassionate Psychology & Yoga: A Workshop for Self Criticism & Shame

  • Blackfriars Priory Ladybellegate Street Gloucester United Kingdom (map)

Compassion is not a soft option. It is not simply kindness. It’s a social mentality, a way of relating. It’s essential for keeping us connected to ourselves and each other. Think of it as wise love. Like having a guardian Angel. We need more of it. Everywhere.

If you are shackled by chronic stress, underpinned with self criticism and shame then this could be the start of a new experience. The workshop includes education about why we develop this way and what maintains it. Suggestions for change and how to implement this. A glorious yoga practice to get things going in your body too. A validating space where the culture we live in takes responsibility for some of the way we feel and the struggles we face.

A truly integrative body mind approach. As a clinical psychologist of 20 years and an advanced yoga teacher of 12, I have been helping people reauthor their relationship to themselves and to others with the ultimate aim of minimising anxiety, negative self assessment, pathology and blame.

This time hosted by the beautiful Blackfriars Priory once more. If you’ve been before you’ll know how special it is as a location!
