Plant Printing with Alternative Photographic Processes Workshop

  • Blackfriars Priory Ladybellegate Street Gloucester, GL1 2HN United Kingdom (map)

Join this immersive camera-less and contact print photography workshop to create eco-friendly prints from plants. Inspired by English botanist and photographer Anna Atkins (the first woman to create a photograph) and celebrating 180 years since cyanotypes were created.

Capture nature’s fleeting beauty in the stunning setting of Blackfriars Medieval Priory. Working with the sun or UV light source, learn how to create beautiful floral Prussian blueprints using the Cyanotype process, colourful Anthotypes using vegetable emulsions and solar Lumen prints using plants and flowers in these intimate workshops.

Course tutor and Fine Art Photographer, Lisa Lavery has over 10 years’ experience teaching traditional and historical photography practices to students across various levels. Follow Lisa and see her work at theblueprintfactory.co.uk or via Facebook and Instagram @the.blueprintfactory.
