Receptions

Whether you would like a small and quirky reception or would like to wow your guests with a high impact setting, our reception only packages are ideal for those who would like to say their vows at a church or registry office. We are within walking distance of Gloucester Cathedral, St Mary De Crypt and St Mary De Lode, as well as Gloucester Registration Office.

Make your way from your ceremony and step into the private cloister garden, where you can be greeted with a welcome drink and canapes while you mingle with your guests and have photos against the exciting Medieval Priory backdrop.  

The Wedding breakfast can be held in either the North or Upper East Range. The East Range is perfect for an intimate meal for up to 50 guests and the North Range is perfect for larger parties, with up to 150 people being able to be seated in this incredible room and up to 230 guests being accommodated for the evening function. 

As the evening draws in, our garden comes alive with fairy lights and candles in lanterns along the pathway, offering a romantic outdoor escape from the dancing and festivities taking place in one of our stunning ranges.

For weddings, our historic landmark site is offered on an exclusive use basis, providing you and your guests with your very own historic retreat for the duration of your wedding. Access is offered the day before the big day for you to setup decorations (subject to availability) and the day after to collect them, giving you the time and space to sit back, relax and let our team look after your special day with our international award winning service.
