Blooms with Heart: Meet Juno Floristry at the Eco Wedding Festival

When flowers tell a story, they become more than just decoration, they become part of the memory. That’s exactly what Juno Floristry is all about. Founded in 2022 after a deeply personal week of love and loss, Juno is the creation of a florist who followed her heart and never looked back. With a passion for British-grown blooms, vintage vessels, and sustainable design, Poppy of Juno Floristry brings colour, creativity, and conscience to every arrangement. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the Eco Wedding Festival on Sunday 5th October!

Tell us a bit about your business and how it started

I started Juno Floristry in 2022 after I arranged the flowers for my brothers' wedding and the flowers for my grandads' funeral within the same week, I have always had a love for flowers and have always wanted to be a florist and after the insight across that week into what it would be like I realised I needed to make it a reality. I did my training that autumn with Bath Flower School and haven't looked back.

What makes your work eco friendly or sustainable?

I only use British flowers (where possible) . I need to put that bit in brackets as occasionally it is unavoidable but I always think carefully where I source my flowers. The majority of the time they come from local flower farmers and haven't travelled very far at all. I don't use any floral foam so all my arrangements are created with sustainable mechanics - so things like reusable vessels and chicken wire, pin frogs and twine that is biodegradable. One of my favourite things to do is to buy vintage vases and jugs so lots of those will crop up in my work.

What can couples expect to see from you at the Eco Wedding Festival?

I will be bringing some examples of flowers for the bridal party, they will be seasonal and locally sourced, I love to use colour in my work so I should be easy to spot! I will also be bringing my look book - so that I can show more examples of my work.

What’s your top tip for planning a sustainable wedding?

Speaking as a florist - I always try and create arrangements that can be repurposed, whether that means that they are moved from the ceremony space to the reception space or maybe they are gifted to guests as a favour if you are heading straight off on honeymoon, I think it's important to get the most out of the flowers you are utilising.
