I make sure the event has a smooth running bar. Enough stock, enough staff and great service.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU WORKED ABOUT BLACKFRIARS!
I have worked at Blackfriars from the start, in 2012. I took over the running of the bar in January 2020.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WORKING DAY FOR HOLLY LOOK LIKE?
A typical day for me is making sure the bar has what it needs for an event. Setting up the bar and then enjoying what the event brings.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT FROM YOUR TIME AT BLACKFRIARS SO FAR?
I loved going to the beer festival. Great weekend.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FEATURE OF THE PRIORY?
When I walk into the garden and see the the Scriptorium. It looks beautiful and a great shade of yellow.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING OUTSIDE OF WORK?
I love going out walking up a hill or around the countryside. Or chilling at home crocheting.

YOU’RE AT A WEDDING… WHAT SONG GETS YOU UP ON THE DANCEFLOOR?
Any song can get me on the dance floor!

IT’S A RELAXED SUNDAY AFTERNOON… WHAT FILM DO YOU POP ON?
For me, a relaxing lazy Sunday is when I like to watch an oldie. The black and white films they put on during the day.

TELL US A FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF:
I trekked up Kilimanjaro in 2012. Would love to do it again.
