Singer Spotlight - Amelle Rose
Ahead of our Eco Wedding Festival on Sunday 5th October, we are taking a look at the incredible suppliers who will be joining us to make the day one to remember. Here to get your toes tapping is the wonderful Amelle Rose. We caught up with Amelle to find out more about her story and her sustainability journey.
Tell us a bit about your business and how it started
I started performing full-time in 2018, cutting my teeth in bars, restaurants, and pubs, where I learned how to read a room, connect with all kinds of audiences, and adapt my sets on the fly. A few years in, those gigs began leading to wedding bookings, and I quickly realised this was where my heart was. I’m passionate about the personal side of what I do - I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all weddings, and I certainly don’t believe in one-size-fits-all music. Every couple has their own story, and I love creating a soundtrack that reflects exactly who they are.
What makes your work eco friendly or sustainable?#
As an acoustic wedding singer, I may not deal in flowers or food waste, but I’m committed to keeping my footprint small - driving electric, sourcing locally printed materials, performing with energy-efficient equipment, and handling all bookings and communication digitally. Sustainability is a core part of my daily life, so it only feels natural to reflect those values in how I run my business.
What can couples expect to see from you at the Eco Wedding Festival?
Couples can expect a taste of what live, acoustic wedding music can bring - reimagined classics, creative mashups, and handpicked songs designed to reflect individual personalities and music tastes. I love thinking outside the box with interpretations and song choices and creating performances that feel fresh, unique, and truly tailored to each couple.
What’s your top tip for planning a sustainable wedding?
Don’t get stuck aiming for perfection, every small choice makes a difference! Focus on making thoughtful choices where you can: choosing local and seasonal food, opting for decor and wedding wear you can rent or source second-hand, and supporting local suppliers to keep your footprint smaller.
